Wrexham star shows himself to be  the world's WORST barman during wild celebrations following promotion party with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Wrexham star Ollie Palmer showed himself to be the world’s worst barman as he partied late into the night following their unprecedented third consecutive promotion.

The Welsh side stormed into the Championship after beating Charlton 3-0 to reach the second tier for the first time since 1982.

Their promotion sees them move from non-league to within reach of the Premier League in just three years.

Elated fans streamed onto the pitch after promotion was confirmed and players celebrated their triumph alongside Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Palmer, who joined the Red Dragons in 2022 with the club still in the National League, was unable to hide his joy as he went behind the bar at Ironworks in Wrexham following their victory.

The 33-year-old has scored 42 goals in 132 league appearances for Phil Parkinson’s men and was filmed drinking straight out of a drinks sprayer, handing out pints of beer and performing tricks by chucking glasses into the air.

The overjoyed attacker was even seen opening beer bottles with his teeth as the wild party went on.

The bar, posting on TikTok, wrote: ‘Had someone apply for a bar job… who’s going to tell him.’

The Englishman, who has bagged three goals and claimed two assists in League One this season, continued the celebrations into the early hours with an Instagram live at 4.26am.

One fan posted on X: ‘It’s 4:26am and Ollie palmer is off his f***** lid doing an Instagram live in a Wrexham lager bucket hat and sunglasses in his front room. What a club man.’

The striker later posted a celebratory picture with co-owner McElhenney and Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively, holding three fingers up on the Racecourse ground pitch.

Meanwhile, Lively congratulated her husband Reynolds and Wrexham for ‘making history’ in an Instagram post.

She shared an album of moments from Saturday’s game and posted a lengthy tribute to the team and town.

Reynolds himself also took to his Instagram to share a jubilant post, alongside a slew of photos of the team, coaches, fans and trophy.

He said Wrexham made ‘history’ despite people doubting him and McElhenney thinking their dreams of being in the Premier League could be possible.

Wrexham secured their third consecutive promotion with a comfortable 3-0 win over Charlton

Wrexham co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have overseen a third promotion

He wrote: ‘We’ve been with Wrexham for what seems like the blink of an eye, but so much has happened.

‘I remember the first press conference, we were asked what our goals were… and I think Rob jumped in with, ‘The Premiere League’.

‘People laughed. They had every right to. It seemed insane… but we weren’t kidding,’ he added.

Wrexham’s move into the Championship will see a leap in sponsorship revenues and they have been linked with a number of Premier League players.

Their summer squad overhaul will be built around a ‘no superstars and no egos’ policy as the club push for the Premier League, though manager Phil Parkinson displayed no surprise when Jamie Vardy and Kevin De Bruyne’s names were put to him as targets after a record-breaking third promotion.

Vardy and De Bruyne are free agents, albeit the Belgian’s £400,000-a-week Manchester City salary seems to put him way out of reach.

Jonny Evans, Ashley Young and possibly Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson could fall into the same category.

Parkinson, who has now secured six promotions as a manager, said that the club ‘always have our eye on players who are free transfers and are going to be available and will continue to do that.’
