Pop Mart, the viral toys’ creator, introduced the character as a part of its The Monsters universe and has released its latest Labubu-centric collection, Big Into Energy.

Sold in randomized blind boxes, the bag charms have become a must-have for anyone looking to add a pop of whimsy to their ensemble. Everyone from White Lotus star and Blackpink member Lisa to Dua Lipa have been spotted with the trendy accessory. Lisa seems to be a fan of all things Pop Mart, recently posting a photo from Coachella sporting the company’s Cry Baby bag charms as well.

The Monsters Big Into Energy dropped Thursday night, quickly selling out on Pop Mart’s website, but is currently in stock online at Kicks Crew. The new collection features six brightly colored figures, along with a secret variation that buys have a one in 72 chance of pulling. Each figure — Love, Hope, Serenity, Luck, Happiness and Loyalty — has its own meaning. The charm’s iconic pointy teeth are a bit different for the new collection, with Big Into Energy Labubu each having one tooth painted to match its fur.
Pop Mart’s The Monsters universe, which can be seen in life-size form at the company’s Beijing theme park, Pop Land, centers are a cast of elves in the Nordic forests. Labubu, among The Monsters, are “zestful curious elves about the size of your average house cat, who love a bit of harmless mischief,” according to a release. The Monsters was created by artist Kasing Lung in 2015; he began a partnership with Pop Mart in 2019.
