VidCon, the convention for fans of top YouTubers and other digital creators, is introducing the first VidCon Hall of Fame at this year’s flagship event in Anaheim.
The inaugural Hall of Fame class, honoring trailblazers of online video content, are: Rhett & Link, hosts of long-running talk show “Good Mythical Morning”; Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla, co-founders of Smosh; Tyler Oakley; Grace Helbig; Joey Graceffa; Rosanna Pansino; and VidCon co-founder Hank Green.
The group of inductees “will be recognized for the significant impact they’ve had on digital culture, fandom and the creator economy as a whole, and their influence on VidCon itself over the years,” the company said. The 2025 VidCon at the Anaheim Convention Center (June 19-21) will feature a special Hall of Fame ceremony and awards presentation.
“Years ago, we sang a song at VidCon about every content creator’s worst existential fear: the inevitable fade into irrelevance,” Link Neal and Rhett McLaughlin, who head independent media company Mythical, said in a statement. “Somehow, against all odds and the internet’s better judgment, we have managed to continue living our dream for two decades. We’re honored that our long journey, which has given at least one of us some gray hair, was enough to land us a spot on the VidCon Hall of Fame.”
The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place during VidCon’s opening night celebration on Thursday, June 19, and will be open to all ticketholders. As part of the ceremony, each honoree will receive a customized VidCon Hall of Fame jersey, baseball hat and award, which will be displayed on the Expo Hall floor on Friday and Saturday (giving fans the opportunity to snap photos).
“VidCon has always been the premier event celebrating all aspects of the creator economy,” Sarah Tortoreti, VP of VidCon, said in a statement. “By introducing a way to honor these iconic creators in our new ‘VidCon Hall of Fame,’ we are recognizing their contribution to the evolution of digital culture and their instrumental impact on pop culture and fandom.”

VidCon’s inaugural “Hall of Fame” induction coincides with the 20th anniversary of YouTube, which will again be the title sponsor of the 14th annual VidCon flagship show. More than 200 featured creators have been confirmed to attend the 2025 VidCon Anaheim, including Aphmau, A.J. & Big Justice, Blair Imani, Dream, Jordan and Salish Matter, Kalen Allen, KREW, Like Nastya, Jesser, Merrick Hanna, Mythical Kitchen and Steven He.
VidCon, founded founded by brothers John and Hank Green in 2010, was acquired by Viacom in 2018. Paramount Global, Viacom’s successor company, sold VidCon in September 2024 to U.K.-based Informa and is now part of Informa Connect’s Fan Expo business.
