Tottenham Hotspur have their sights on signing former Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid this summer, according to Givemesport.
The London giants are expected to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season and Gallagher could re-emerge as a potential target for manager Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs were keen on landing the England international last summer, but Chelsea were reluctant to do business with a direct rival for the European positions.
They decided to offload him to Atletico Madrid for £36m, but there is a possibility that he could return to the Premier League later this year.
Atletico are currently interested in landing Cristian Romero and Rodrigo Bentancur from Spurs. The club have made contact with their camps.
Spurs are aware of the same and they could propose to sign Gallagher as a makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal for Romero and Bentancur.
It remains to be seen whether Gallagher will consider a move to Spurs, considering his former association with London counterparts Chelsea.
