‘Nightmare start for Bodo/Glimt and Spurs can smell blood’

Before kick-off, the entire Bodo/Glimt team joined the coaches and support staff for a pre-match huddle led by captain Ulrik Saltnes.

Less than a minute later, the Bodo/Glimt players were in a huddle again, meeting on the edge of the box after Johnson’s goal.

Spurs proved potential in underdog position at Frankfurt

Tottenham’s season has not gone to plan. Far from it.

However, they’re in a European semi-final – and they’ve had to beat some difficult opposition to get here.

Last time out, they were considered the underdogs against Bundesliga high-flyers Frankfurt. After being held to a draw at home, many expected Frankfurt’s highly-rated attack to overpower the under-performing Spurs.

But they were able to grit through the away leg and emerge with a slender 1-0 lead, courtesy of a Dominic Solanke penalty.

Now, they are back in the position of favourites against the competition’s Norwegian surprise package, Bodo/Glimt. A good performance tonight and they could all but seal their place in the final at San Mames.
