“Heartstopper” is coming to an end, with its finale set as a feature film.
The hit Netflix series, which has run for three seasons, made the announcement Tuesday morning. “‘Heartstopper’ will return, bigger than ever,” a post on X reads. “A ‘Heartstopper’ movie, our final chapter based on Alice Oseman’s upcoming volume six, is coming!!!”
More information was provided in an article on Netflix’s Tudum, confirming that the movie will see Kit Connor and Joe Locke return as Nick and Charlie in addition to serving as executive producers. “Heartstopper” creator Oseman has penned the script, and filming is set to begin this summer.
“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the ‘Heartstopper’ story,” Oseman said in a statement. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
