The Lanarkshire side will discover on Thursday if their appeal against a 15-point deduction has been successful or not
Scott Robinson admits it would ‘mean everything’ if Hamilton Accies win their appeal to the SFA over the 15-point deduction that is set to relegate them this week.
The club must wait until Thursday – just 24 hours before the final games of the Championship season – to discover if the governing body will uphold the SPFL’s decision to dock them 15 points and fine the club ÂŁ9,000 for multiple rule breaches.
If they have it completely overturned, they would climb up to seventh and be safe of automatic relegation going into Friday night’s finale with Falkirk.
And Robinson, who only joined the club in January after making the move from Partick Thistle on a two-and-a-half year deal, admits that would mean the world.
The 33-year-old midfielder said: “It is people’s jobs and people’s families this is affecting, so it would mean everything to everyone, especially to me just joining the club.
“I’ve seen a lot of positive things since I have been here. The manager, the players, the staff, they have all been brilliant since day one.
“I have loved my time here and I want it to continue.

“Obviously there’s a wee bit of uncertainty at the club. It’s a big week, it’s going to be a long week. We were hoping it was going to be early on, so it’s just a waiting game.
“It’s there at the back of everyone’s minds and we just have to keep being as professional as we can and doing our job on the park.
“But it’s completely out of players’ and staff’s hands really. It is just a waiting game, we hope for good news but it’s out of our control, hopefully we can get the points back and we’ll be alright and still be in the Championship.”
Robinson’s side lost 3-0 to Livingston on Saturday in the club’s final home game of the season in front of the New Douglas Park faithful and felt the opportunity was there for them early on to make more of a game of it.
He added: “We’re fighting away, trying to do our best. We’ve had a lot of good results recently and started the game well against Livingston.
“We had two or three really good chances. I had one of them myself and if we take one of them, it could go a different way.
“But when we lose the two goals, it just set us back.
“That was a blow today, but the gaffer has assembled a good squad. We are a tight-knit group and if we can stay in this league, I would like us to have a really good go next season.”
