Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed a new injury for defender Malo Gusto following the 2-1 Premier League win over Fulham on the road.
The Blues returned to winning ways with an impressive comeback triumph at Fulham. Pedro Neto bagged the winner in the 93rd minute of the derby.
Malo Gusto was a second half substitute for the Blues, but he was replaced right at the end with an injury concern. Maresca confirmed the same.
The Italian tactician revealed that the Frenchman picked up a muscular injury, he said: “Not a good one. A muscular problem. Unfortunately it looks like a muscular injury.”
Chelsea faced a must-win situation against the Cottagers. They were made to toil hard but eventually bagged the winner in dramatic late fashion.
With the victory, the club have moved back into the fifth spot in the Premier League which guarantees a place in next season’s Champions League.
They still have plenty of work to do, considering they have games against the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United.
