If there’s one thing the editors and writers at Travel + Leisure know how to do, it’s, well, travel. Collectively, we’ve visited hundreds of cities across the globe, gone through countless security lines, sat in dozens of airports (sometimes on a delay), and dragged our trusty luggage through it, all so we could explore new destinations. Our main takeaway: comfy travel outfits are a must.

No matter where you’re jetting off to this summer, you’ll want to be cozy. The shopping team at T+L has you covered with fashion-forward pieces we rely on for comfort and style when we travel.  Everything can be found at Amazon’s fashion store, with items starting as little as $8. Plus, every complete look costs less than $100, so you can have some extra cash for souvenirs.

You won’t catch me on flights wearing anything except for sweats—but in the summer, a hoodie-and-joggers combo can be too hot for the tarmac. So, I opt for matching sweatshorts sets during hotter months, like this crewneck pullover and lounge shorts combo from Anrabess. It’s soft and cozy with deep pockets and an adjustable drawstring waistband, allowing you to customize your fit.

I also refuse to pay checked baggage fees, so I usually travel with a carry-on that’s spacious and easy to carry across the airport. My current go-to carry-on is my trusty Calpak Terra Duffel Backpack, but this $24 option from Etronik features many of my favorite features of the Calpak bag. It’s got a dedicated shoe compartment, a laptop pocket, and can be worn as a backpack or a duffel bag. Finally, I like to wear these comfy, easy-to-remove sneakers while flying. They’re flexible, breathable, and have a sock-like opening that’s easy to slip on and off, even when they’re laced up. —Ameila McBride, Associate Shopping Editor

I spotted a fashionable traveler wearing satin pants at the airport, and I’ve had the style on my wishlist ever since. They’re cozy for long travel days, but slightly dressier than standard sweatpants. While I love the champagne color, the black pair looks less like sleepwear, so I can comfortably wear them on my flight, at the hotel, and even dressed up for dinner. I’d pair them with a simple knit tank, plus a soft and cozy crewneck to drape over my shoulders (and throw on during the chilly flight). I’d complete the look with my go-to comfy clogs for an effortlessly stylish and unbelievably comfy ensemble. —Genevieve Cepeda, Shopping Writer

Vacation me likes to be as worry-free as possible, which is why I rely on easy outfits that require little thought, but still have that extra oomph to make them special enough for a trip. The Dokotoo Peplum Matching Set checks those boxes for me. It’s a breathable, one-and-done outfit with pieces that can be worn together or separately, helping me maximize the space in my carry-on. I also prioritize comfort when I’m traveling, which is why I always make sure to have a cozy cardigan (I prefer them over traditional jackets because they’re lighter, softer, and easier to drape) for layering, and to top it off, a pair of white sneakers. —Emily Belfiore, Senior Shopping Editor

My absolute favorite pants to travel in are cargo joggers, much like this pair. I love that the zipper and button in the front offer a polished look, but the stretchy waistband in the back prevents the pants from digging into my stomach when sitting for a long time. I also prioritize wearing items that I was planning to pack anyway, like comfy sneakers and an easy sweatshirt, to save space in my bag. I like that these shoes are super versatile and are made of breathable canvas, while the sweatshirt is plenty cozy with its mostly cotton fabric and slightly oversized fit. Finally, I always head to the airport with my trusty sling bag that looks nearly identical to this $16 find. It’s made of nylon, which tends to be durable and withstand getting tossed around a bit, especially when going through airport security. —Erin Cavoto, Shopping Editor

You will almost always see me in a matching set when I travel because they’re so cute and comfortable. A lounge set with a skirt, like this one, is an upgrade for summer because it lets me get some airflow around my legs, and it won’t graze the floor when I use the bathroom. This button-up shirt is also the perfect topper for my set because it’s an easy layer that goes with everything, and it can double as a swimsuit cover-up. I also wear these cork footbed sandals year-round to walk my dog, grab drinks, or go to dinner, but especially when I fly. The straps can be adjusted so that I can wear them with or without socks. And this little bag is so handy for keeping my phone, credit cards, headphones, and lip balm on a flight, but its compact size is also for sightseeing. —Shalwah Evans, Senior Shopping Editor

My home airport is Atlanta International Airport (ATL)—the world’s busiest—so I’ve learned to settle in for a long travel day no matter where I’m headed. That’s why I stick to ultra-comfy pieces I can wear in-flight and once I land. I go for soft, stretchy pants (travel bloat is real) and oversized layers like this cozy half-zip. I can peel it off while power-walking through terminals, or zip it up when the plane gets chilly mid-flight. Since I have TSA PreCheck, I skip the slip-ons and wear my favorite lace-up gum-sole sneakers, which I live in on trips. —Kayla Kitts, Senior Editor

I like to keep things simple and comfortable when I’m at the airport, leaning into pieces that I’ll be able to continuously wear throughout my trip. The stretchy, elastic waistband of these breezy linen pants won’t dig into my skin while I’m sitting for long hours at a time, and the classic cut of the trendy sage green T-shirt doesn’t make me look frumpy or too dressed-down. A belt bag is an essential for keeping my passport, wallet, and headphones accessible, and I always opt for slip-on shoes since they’re easy to put on and take off in a hurry when I’m rushing through security checkpoints (just as I did this weekend!). —Merrell Readman, Senior Shopping Writer

Look 8

I always travel in a matching set, and this one is exactly my go-to style. I look for comfy, lightweight pants paired with a breathable T-shirt—something that keeps me from overheating but still feels put-together. I never board a plane without a light layer like the Newshows Button-down Cardigan, since chilly flights and over-air-conditioned airports are basically a given. I also swear by my Dream Pairs sneakers—they’re incredibly comfortable and go with everything in my travel wardrobe. —Rosie Marder, Shopping Writer

Look 9

Pockets are a key feature for my airport outfits (in addition to comfort) so that I can avoid rummaging through my bag to find my phone and ID while waiting in the TSA line. These harem pants have two deep pockets and a stretchy waistband, which is essential because there’s nothing worse than the feeling of tight, restrictive pants. I pair them with an oversized T-shirt and a pullover sweatshirt (for when the airplane’s air conditioner is blasting) that has, you guessed it, a pocket, which is perfect for keeping my hands warm. For shoes, I love a slip-on pair because I’m less stressed taking them off (and back on) while going through TSA. —Rylee Johnston, Shopping Writer
