Chelsea will need to make a huge outlay to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy this summer, according to SportBild.
The 29-year-old signed for Dortmund from Stuttgart for just €18 million last summer after a brilliant campaign with 30 goals and three assists.
He has continued his excellent form this season with 28 goals and nine assists thus far, and this has apparently caught the eye of the Blues.
SportBild claim that Chelsea hold a long-term interest in the Guinea international, who has a release clause worth €70 million.
Dortmund have no plans of sanctioning his sale in the summer, but may only negotiate if they receive a package close to the clause.
Chelsea are determined to land a striker before the Club World Cup and they have identified Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap as a top target.
Guirassy is more talented and experienced than Delap, but the Blues could be reluctant to pay €70m for a striker who will turn 30 next month.
