Martin Boyle is yet to discover his Hibs option fate

Martin Boyle is still waiting to see if Hibs are going to take up the option to extend his contract.

The top scorer is set to become a free agent at the end of the season although the club can trigger another 12 months.

The Easter Road club has until next month to inform the Australian international whether or not they will take up the option.

There won’t be a shortage of takers if Hibs don’t keep a hold of the 32-year-old.

Boyle is currently one of the top earners at the capital club but there is interest from down under, the Middle East and England.

The forward has been a big player in Hibs rise to third spot and push for a European return.

He has netted 16 goals and registered 10 assists.

Boyle is in his third spell with Hibernian after returning from Al-Faisaly in 2022.

Hibs are in the process of rewarding a number of key staff and players with new deals.

Boss David Gray and his backroom staff have penned extensions, as have his first-team players like Jack Iredale and Chris Cadden.
