The 2025 NBA playoffs are in full swing, and the Indiana Pacers have advanced to the second round with a wild Game 5 win over the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday night. They’ll now face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who finished off a sweep of the Miami Heat in Game 4. Elsewhere in the East, the Boston Celtics have also advanced after dispatching the Orlando Magic in Game 5. In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder are the only team that has advanced. They did so by sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Pistons, meanwhile, staved off elimination and forced a Game 6 against the Knicks by beating New York Tuesday night. The winner of that series will face the Celtics in the second round. Elsewhere, the Warriors are up 3-1 in the series against the Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves lead the Los Angeles Lakers 3-1.
Twelve teams remain in the battle for the Larry O’Brien trophy, and the field will be whittled down to eight by Sunday, May 4.
