As disturbing allegations mount against Sean “Diddy” Combs in a high-profile sex trafficking case, speculation spread online suggesting that Justin Bieber may have been one of the victims. In response, Bieber’s team has issued a clarifying statement to shut down the rumors.
What did Justin Bieber’s team say about him being a ‘Diddy victim’?
A representative for Justin Bieber told TMZ that “Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims.” The statement continued, emphasizing that shifting focus to unfounded theories diverts attention from the individuals who were genuinely harmed. “There are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve,” the rep added.
The speculation gained momentum after old video clips of Bieber and Diddy re-emerged on social media. These clips, some dating back to 2009 and 2011, showed Bieber, then a teenager, in public appearances with Combs. In one such clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2011, Diddy cryptically said Bieber “knows better than to be talking about things that he does with Big Brother Puff on national television.” Other resurfaced footage included Diddy promising a 15-year-old Bieber luxury cars and vague “48-hour” plans that he described as a “15-year-old’s dream,” further fueling online suspicion.
However, sources told the outlet these interactions were purely “performative,” adding that there was no inappropriate relationship between the two. Bieber was friends with Diddy’s sons, but had no deeper connection with the hip-hop mogul. The sources emphasized that Diddy “never sexually or otherwise abused” the singer.
Diddy is currently facing federal charges including sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. The charges span incidents from 2004 to 2024 and involve allegations of coercion, blackmail, and violent abuse. The trial has already featured testimony from singer and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who described being forced into drug-fueled sex parties known as “freak offs.” Ventura claimed she participated out of fear.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his legal team maintains that some of his private lifestyle choices, such as his well-known use of baby oil, are not criminal in nature.
