‘Blake Lively Dragon Text’ Trend Resurfaces Amid Lawsuit

With Blake Lively reportedly asking Taylor Swift to “delete their text messages” in the wake of the former’s legal tussle with Justin Baldoni, the ‘Blake Lively Dragon Text’ trend has started to resurface on the internet. As such, people who have been following Lively’s lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star have come out to enquire about the Game of Thrones-themed text that she sent to him in January 2025.

So, here’s everything you need to know regarding the resurgence of the ‘Blake Lively Dragon Text’ trend online.

The Gossip Girl alumna has allegedly requested her long-time friend, Taylor Swift, to erase all the messages shared between the duo.

As reported earlier by ComingSoon, Justin Baldoni’s lawyers have claimed that Blake Lively’s lead counsel also asked Swift’s legal team, Venable, to “release a statement of support.” Moreover, the court documents submitted by his representatives suggest that she even threatened to release private messages of the “Bad Blood” singer if her team fails to comply with the request.

This shocking development has inadvertently shed light on the “dragon text” that Lively sent to Baldoni earlier this year. As per his lawsuit, she allegedly attempted to take over the creative process of It Ends With Us. Furthermore, Lively reportedly tried to shoehorn updates in the script. When Baldoni appreciated his co-star for her passion, he only partially adopted the changes made by her.

The actress then apparently pressured Justin Baldoni to rethink his decision by bringing her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and, reportedly, Taylor Swift in her support. She later clarified her approach by explaining the impact of her two allies via some text messages. Lively stated, “They’re also my most trusted partners and the people I go to first with anything creative I touch.”

Nevertheless, the A Simple Favor star expressed displeasure with Baldoni’s choice of rejecting some of her suggestions. She wrote, “[You said] you appreciate my passion so much, which of course didn’t feel great for me. Or them. To have my passion be praised instead of my specific contribution,” as per the Daily Mail.

Blake Lively concluded her account by sending the now-infamous ‘dragon text.’ It read, “If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really, we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.”

Meanwhile, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s trial is set to commence on March 9, 2026.
