With Watson Season 1 recently coming to an end, showrunner Craig Sweeny has now answered the burning question about whether Eve Harlow’s Ingrid is leaving the setup for good. With the character’s fate left up in the air, viewers are eager to know whether Harlow will return for Watson Season 2.
Craig Sweeny confirms Eve Harlow’s Ingrid isn’t leaving Watson in Season 2
Creator Craig Sweeny recently confirmed that Eve Harlow will return in the upcoming season of Watson. Sweeny also noted that he plans to showcase a new arc for Ingird following her big revelations in the show’s debut outing.
While speaking with ScreenRant, Sweeny shed light on the prospect of Eve Harlow’s Ingrid leaving Watson Season 2, stating, “You never want to say case closed because you’re cutting off options. I will say we plan a new and hopefully equally interesting arc with Ingrid in the second season, centered around the idea of, ‘Is it possible for that character to change her ways?’ Can she change, not just her behaviors, but who she is at her very core? We will be looking more forward than backward, but of course, the fact that she did that remains out there and open to be revisited.”
The CBS original series revolves around the adventures of Doctor John Watson, played by Morris Chestnut, following the presumed death of his partner-in-crime and best friend, Sherlock Holmes. After Holmes’ passing, Watson decides to return to the medical field, but soon realizes that he cannot shrug off his past life so easily.
Harlow’s character serves as a close associate of Watson’s at his new clinic, the Unique Health Outreach Program (UHOP). However, she ultimately reveals herself to be an ally of Holmes’ long-time nemesis, Professor James Moriarty, compromising her position at the UHOP.
CBS has already renewed Watson for a follow-up edition. However, the network has yet to confirm an official release date schedule for the sophomore season.
