Some exciting releases are in store for the May 12–18, 2025 week at Paramount Plus. These include the film Hard Truths, SkyMed Season 3, and The Chi Season 7.
On May 12, Paramount Plus subscribers can tune in to check out Hard Truths. This comedy-drama film, helmed by Mike Leigh, focuses on Pansy (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), a short-tempered woman whose interactions with other people devolve into angry and vitriolic spats. In contrast, Chantelle (Michele Austin), Pansy’s younger sister and a hairdresser, maintains a calm and peaceful disposition when interacting with her clients.
Next, May 15 brings SkyMed Season 3 to Paramount Plus. In this season, the eponymous team struggles with various challenges following a team member’s loss, which forces them to truly define their overall mission and personal relationships. Julie Puckrin created this series, which features the talents of Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, and Aason Nadjiwan, among others.
Finally, The Chi Season 7 graces Paramount Plus on May 16. This season finds the women protagonists of the series, now led by Alicia, on a journey to reclaim their lost power. During their efforts, the team members face various challenges, sparking new rivalries and testing their loyalties.
Also dropping on Paramount Plus this week is Assassin Club.
Directed by Camille Delamarre from a script written by Thomas Dunn, Assassin Club follows Morgan Gaines (Henry Golding), one of the world’s best contract killers. Morgan is hired to kill six people — eventually discovering that his targets were also hired to kill each other.
