Blue Fox Entertainment has released The Gardener trailer for the upcoming U.S debut of the French action comedy starring Jean Claude Van Damme. The movie is currently scheduled to make its debut on June 6 on digital platforms and in select theaters.

What happens in The Gardener trailer?
The video features the veteran action star as he portrays the titular character, who agrees to protect a presidential candidate from assassination after the politician stumbles upon his gardening shed. At the moment, Van Damme is currently attached to star in another action thriller, Silent Kill, and in the animated action movie What’s My Name. The cast also includes Michaël Youn, Nawell Madani, Kaaris, Matthias Quiviger, Jérôme Le Banner, and Carla Poquin.
The Gardener is directed by David Charhon (The Last Mercenary), who co-wrote the screenplay with Vincent De Brus and Sebastien Fechner. It is produced by Sebastien Fechner. The creative team also includes cinematographer Thierry Arbogast, editor Guillaume Houssais, composer Alexandre Azaria, production designer Hubert Pouille, and more. It is a production of Rose Productions.
“Every year, the Prime Minister keeps a secret list of his political enemies to be removed. Serge Shuster, a senior official close to the presidency, finds himself named on the list — meaning he will be assassinated within 48 hours by a team of elite government hitmen,” reads the movie’s official synopsios. “Condemned to a certain death, Serge, his wife, and his children only have one hope left: their strange gardener, Léo.”
