Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* is set to release this week, and ahead of the latest MCU movie’s arrival, early box office predictions are tracking for a good launch.
What are the Thunderbolts* box office predictions?
After early projections had the latest ensemble film earning anywhere from $63-$77 million in its opening weekend, a new report from THR citing tracking data has the film opening to somewhere around $70-$73 million domestically.
Internationally, Thunderbolts* is now projected to earn somewhere between $160-$175 million. While not an out of this world amount for a Marvel Studios project, this is tracking to perform better than some of Marvel’s more recent films, and due to the film’s strong word of mouth, could continue to climb after its release.
Thunderbolts* will be released in United States theaters on May 2, 2025.
