In the episode, she was seen delving deep into the murder case of Pedro Hernandez that ended up involving Gibbs.

Lara begins suspecting Gibbs, who accepts shooting Pedro. She points a gun at Gibbs, but Lala comes to his rescue. Eventually, upon Lala’s appeal, Lara decides to give up on the investigation and save Gibbs from getting arrested.
