For the unversed, Lara Macy is not a new character in the NCIS franchise, having previously appeared in the sixth season of NCIS. Lara was introduced in the episodes that served as the backdoor pilot for the new show, NCIS: Los Angeles. At the time, actor Louise Lombard portrayed the character. However, Lara was replaced with Operations Manager Henrietta “Hetty” Lange when NCIS: Los Angeles was ordered to series.
TV Line reported that Berger will be taking over as Lara in NCIS: Origins Season 1’s last episode. She was introduced as an investigator with sharp instincts, planning to make her name in a male-dominated world.
