After announcing their engagement last year, the 21-year-old NFL star revealed in a press conference that he has been “best friends” with Jackson since their first meeting in fourth grade.
Starks revealed, “We have been together for about four years. So, it’s been something I’ve thought about for a while. I knew that I wanted to spend my life with her. So I thought, why not?”
The Ravens player added that it was Jackson’s birthday, so he set it up to make Jackson’s birthday extra special. The athlete gushed, “She is very special to me, and she’s very important to what I do.” Starks revealed that “it was just time” to take the big step, as their families also knew each other.
