I Know What You Did Last Summer Trailer: The Fisherman Is Back

The first trailer for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie has been released.

Sony Pictures will release a brand-new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie in United States theaters this coming July. The fourth film in the popular horror franchise, the new entry stars Madelyn Cline, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Julie James, and more.

What happens in the I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer?

The Fisherman is back in the new I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer, which teases some gruesome deaths and bloody gore. Also returning for the new movie, which serves as a sequel to 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, is Freddie Prinze Jr. as Ray Bronson.

“When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences,” reads the official synopsis. “A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”

The cast of the movie additionally includes Chase Sui Wonders, Sarah Pidgeon, Jonah Hauer-King, and Tyriq Withers.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who previously helmed 2019’s Someone Great and 2022’s Do Revenge. Robinson also worked on the screenplays for 2020’s Unpregnant and 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

I Know What You Did Last Summer will be released in United States theaters on July 18, 2025, from Sony Pictures Releasing.
