A new trailer for James Gunn’s Superman movie has been released.
Superman is coming to theaters this coming July. The first feature film set within Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU, the movie sees David Corenswet play the titular superhero while Rachel Brosnahan portrays Lois Lane.

What happens in the new Superman trailer?
The new Superman trailer shows off some new footage of, Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, and much more. Corenswet is seen taking flight and facing enemies, all while living a secret double life as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent.
“Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures,” the synopsis reads. “In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”
Gunn wrote the script for the movie and also serves as a producer alongside Safran. Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther serve as executive producers.
The cast of the movie also includes Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will be released in United States theaters and IMAX on July 11, 2025, from Warner Bros. Pictures. The next DCU movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, then arrives on June 26, 2026.
